Principal/Lead Engineer (E-Machines/Power Electronics/Manufacture)3 year + ContractCommutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick£55,000 - £75,000pa + 42 days holiday + attractive pension Are you able to strategically lead a team across automotive projects involving the design and manufacture electric traction drives? Are you able to deliver a project to tight timescales and deadlines?

This is a post within a rapidly expanding and world renowned Research and Development department that helps to research and implement cutting edge technology projects predominantly within the automotive sector. Due to continued growth my client is looking for a strategic leader ideally with technical skills within manufacturing particularly e-machines or Power Electronics.

Predominantly the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team to ensure project targets are met, effectively managing individuals within the team to achieve the best output from a strategic point of view rather than from a technical one. As a bare minimum the candidate will have experience within the automotive sector particularly manufacturing, but most importantly will have leadership experience in the strategic sense as opposed to technical. Ideally you will have experience within e-machines or power electronics along with strategic leadership experience.

This is not a project management role. Other relevant experience could involve modelling, thermal processing or packaging.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone from an automotive manufacturing background with good people skills to take up a leadership role where you will be helping to ensure project deadlines are met, whilst working within state of the art facilities.

* Experience in leading similar projects/able to of strategic leadership as well as some technical leadership

* Great people skills

* Ideally with knowledge of e-machine manufacturer for electric vehicle powertrain
