The role involves:

Providing line management and strong leadership of the electronic engineering teamOwnership of electronic engineering processesWorking with Project Engineers to ensure that engineering projects are suitably resourced for.Working with the Engineering Director and other senior colleagues to develop the product development strategyOn-going development of the companies wide range of electronics systemsDesigning of a wide range of RF, low voltage analogue and digital electronic assembliesProviding design support of the companies legacy products Undertaking product documentation and testingBeing the technical lead for projects of any sizeEnsuring a safe system of work is in place for the Electronics R&D labOccasional UK and International travel may be required to support trials and customer activitiesRequirements: Minimum of degree or equivalent, in relevant fields or similar qualification dependent on experience.Experience in the design of electronic products is essentialGood working knowledge of PCB and component level circuit design is requiredHands on experience of electronic test and measurement equipment is requiredExperience managing a team is essentialMust be competent in technical report writingA high level of competency using Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Project is essentialExperience using PADS and Easy PC for PCB design is desirable
