Java Engineer / Software Developer (SpringBoot microservices). Key partner to the commodities trading space is seeking a skilled, ambitious Java Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of their core products.

The organisation is dedicated to providing enterprise software solutions designed and developed for companies within the market. Their 40 years of establishment translates to experience and success, they are constantly looking for new ways to improve and enhance their processes, frequently launching new products to address customer needs and adjust to dynamic market demands.

This Java Engineer role is high-visibility and high impact; you'll partner with the CTO to execute and deliver the product that will include short term performance and stability engineering, contributing to the company effort in building a market-disrupting product. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented teams of technologists across the organisation, improving the SDLC rigor including automated testing, automated build and deployment, design and coding best practices. You'll work with a diverse, current tech stack including Java, microservices, RESTful services, Spring, SpringBoot, JPA and Hibernate.

Requirements:

You have strong Java design and development experience across the full SDLC

You have experience with Spring, SpringBoot, microservices, RESTful services and Hibernate (or other ORM)

You have a good understanding of database modelling and the JPA standard All

You have good working knowledge of computing fundamentals such as Design Patterns, Object Orientated Programming

You have experience with Unit testing (JUnit), TDD / BDD, Cucumber / Gherkin

You're experienced with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity; Build tools such as Maven and Gradle

You're a confident and self-assured communicator, able to build robust working relationships
