Project Manager - Transformation - Infrastructure - Datacentre - Networks - West Midlands - initial 6 months - £350-400/day LTD Reed Technology are working with a large retailer based in the West Midlands who require a Senior Project Manager to be involved in the Infrastructure Transformation project which is split into three workstreams. Decommissioning on-premise datacentres Cloud Migration into Azure Upgrade of the core network The retailer currently have two on-premise datacentres; one in their Business Support Centre and the other in their Distribution Warehouse. 99% of their estate is virtualised using VMWare.

As part of the decommission, they are identifying a co-location partner to host and begin the RFP process.

The two data centres are to be decommissioned by mid 2021. The retailer has begun the assessment to help identify and prioritise the application that is best suited to move from on-premise to Microsoft Azure.

During the process of migrating applications and services from on-premise data centres, the requirement for network trafficked to be routed through them is no long valid. A review of the current state of the network will need to be carried out to determine what the future of their network will look like.
