Senior Embedded Software Engineer now needed by well established company in Gloucestershire to develop leading edge next generation products. Suitable applicants should have a relevant degree and solid embedded C++ / linux / ARM programming expertise. Python expertise is also very useful. Most products have a communications aspect so a knowledge of common interfaces and protocols is required, e.g. RS232, RS485, LAN, TCP/IP, I2C. The successful Senior Embedded Engineer should have a good appreciation for hardware and be familiar with the use of in-circuit emulators, remote debuggers, simulators and other common test equipment. A knowledge of encryption techniques and related hardware would be extremely useful as would any experience of Smart Cards and RFID in general.The successful Embedded Engineer will design, implement, test and integrate embedded software onto the company’s access control and intrusion products.
Salary to circa £55,000 plus benefits.
