I am currently working with an exciting international company who are looking for a Lead Data Engineer! They are a data driven ecommerce business providing equipment and solutions to customers across Europe. The office you would work in is based in Glasgow and will include some travel to their other offices in Germany and the Netherlands.Key responsibilities include:Design, build and maintain the data architecture for the central data platformTransferring data to the data lake from multiple sourcesData handling and data analyticsBuilding robust ETL processes Creating data models Machine learning and data mining Occasional international travelEssential requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative-focuses field Experienced working with Alteryx and TableauProgramming experience with SQLGood knowledge of PythonIn-depth knowledge of data structures, OOP, design patterns, development standards and testing and clean coding standards Experience with LinuxStrong Data Analytics skills This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company who are passionate about data and be involved in a variety of interesting work.
