Apply your specialist tech skillset to deliver client centred solutions and combine your great people management to grow a team of Test Automation experts. If you have only ever recorded test automation scripts, this isn't the role for you! You must know how to architect and develop highly scalable, robust and maintainable solutions and lead successful teams and projects within traditional, Agile and scalable Agile environments.   IMPORTANT - LOCATION: This job is based in New Zealand - The Company is looking for UK based candidates who want to relocate and work overseas in either Auckland or Wellington New Zealand - Visa Sponsorship and Relocation Package Available.    JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Head of Test Automation with excellent team leadership, management and ‘hands on' skills with the drive and focus to enhance and create a world class team of Software Testers. As the Head of Test Automation, you will consult with a top tier client base, to develop and deliver high calibre solutions. The role will be a mixture of onsite technical strategic delivery, operational leadership, and being responsible for growing the automation capability within the region. As the Head of Test Automation, you will work with account directors and business development teams to provide technical guidance on proposals. Additionally, you will assist with staff mentoring, development, recruitment support, and global innovation projects. This is a technical role requiring a strong development background, with sound experience in OOP, and engineering modern automation solutions, both open source and commercial tools. You will be skilled and well versed in securing, resourcing and delivering work of the highest standard to Blue Chip quality clients. You will be equally comfortable discussing best practice with developers and potential opportunities with clients. Knowing how to assess risk, enabling a positive ROI and possessing the ability to produce quality documented strategies are all fundamentals of this newly created position. Developing RFPs and delivering information to clients confidently is a must, but also having the technical expertise to fix complex issues and architect high-quality solutions.
