Senior Enterprise Java Developer - Newcastle / AWS / Free Kindle / Birthday Party / Enterprise Architecture £30,000 - £55,000 Who do I need? Due to year on year growth and the long term plan to be a 3 figure headcount consultancy I am looking to hire a series of permanent Senior Enterprise Java Developer's to join my client in the heart of Newcastle. This role will be office based and typically see the normal 9-5 working day, but if you need a bit of flex that's not to worry. They are a software powerhouse and whilst you'll be working on client site - this will still be local to Newcastle so no need to be away from home. Sites have regular public transport to and from and also free parking. Everyone's a winner!What do my client do? In a nutshell - they are an independent technology company who are generating large scale software solutions into a range of verticals across the industry. They do say their speciality is enterprise scale however they do work their magic for smaller private companies too - so the beauty here is you get experience from both angles of the market but still using modern tech as you go. Staying up to date is vital for them so you can find yourself working with the most modern technologies using best practice. You will get the chance to utilise AWS & Azure cloud technologies, work with microservices, cross train into other tech to keep yourself learning and also join their ethos of being agile advocates and follow a robust CI / CD methodology. They have grown by 48% too in the last few years so as you can see team retention is great here, these hires are not just repalcements and if you ask me, team retention is something everyone looks at in a company when looking to move. However don't just take my word for it, they have a glassdoor rating of 4.7 /5. What would you be doing? You will work as part of small agile scrum development teams across a range of domains making sure you are both getting the job done and having fun at the same time. Yes this is a job but they're a great bunch of people to be around. Your development matters so they'll cover that too - there is always a tech talk or a training event you can be on to ever built on your already brilliant stack. You will utlise your programming skills to build very impressive systems while collaborating with your clients to ensure you are delivering to their expectations. What do I need to see?A tech wizard in Java with about 3-5 years commercial experience as a minimum. Spring & Hibernate too as I need super techy peopleWorked to agile deliveryTDD & Unit testing would be really beneficial and would help beat your competitionCI / CD or working with DevOps is something I would love to hear aboutAny knowledge of Scala and you're on to a winnerOverall positive attitude and show genuine passion for the fieldPrevious consultancy experience will be beneficial but by no means essential Any tech events, user groups or forums you are part of or have an inetrest in let me know.
