FULL ROLE DETAILS

2.1 Requirement/Background


A major government department are in the process of significant organisational and estates transformation. As part of this process the organisation requires experienced Commercial / Procurement leads to support the commercial organisation in an exciting, fast-paced, challenging project as they develop their requirements and procurement solutions, to meet the needs and outcomes. 2 x FTE roles are required to support the Property & Facilities Management category team, with expertise in P&FM goods and services and or infrastructure and site set up.


2.2 Key Tasks and Deliverables

      •     Interface with key business stakeholders to help shape and define requirements
      •     Identify and agree most appropriate procurement routes to market and commercial solutions to support the successful delivery of outcomes
      •     Work with wider CD colleagues (sourcing and contract management) to successfully execute supplier engagement and sourcing projects
      •     Support the implementation and transfer of contracts to estates operational contract managers and to wider business colleagues

2.3 Key Knowledge and Skills (Experience):
      •     Strong contractual, sourcing and negotiation experience with complex fast moving projects for goods, services and / or infrastructure
      •     Strong knowledge of P&FM market, suppliers, commercial models and value levers
      •     Temporary modular buildings
      •     Minor Civils and building works
      •     Fit-out and F,F&E
      •     Construction professional services supply chain to aid project delivery
      •     Business Contingency Supply Chain planning including review of GPC card use, use of serviced accommodation etc.
      •     Property resilience requirements e.g. generators, welfare facilities etc.
      •     Minor Civils and building works
      •     MCIPS or equivalent professional experience
Individuals should have experience of working and delivering in procurement for property & fm and understand main forms of contract (e.g. JCT) along with demonstrable experience of dealing at pace.
