At British Airways, we take huge pride in our past - but we're looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country's creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are.

If you're made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we're connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else.

We are excited to offer the newly created role of Revenue Performance Consultant within our Revenue Management Team. Helping to find and optimise every revenue opportunity, the Revenue Performance Consultant will carry out investigative analysis to drive and support the commercial decisions that shape the way that we manage our business.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for conscientious and committed team players, with a highly analytical skillset and the ability to spot, investigate and action revenue opportunities across our revenue management function. You might be just starting out or some years into your career, most importantly you are creative & curious, can extract meaning from numbers to deliver commercial insight and have the enthusiasm, drive and emotional resilience to effectively challenge, influence and enhance commercial decision making through data insight.

What does the Revenue Management Department do?

Our Revenue Management team is at the heart of the airline's commercial function and works with a variety of teams in BA and our global partner airlines to deliver customer revenue for British Airways. This includes making sure that BA has the right fares in each market at any point in time and applying sophisticated yield management techniques to drive the right blend of those fares. Our ability to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our revenue management processes and systems will be enhanced by the analytical insight that the Revenue Performance Consultant provides, drilling down to a granular level of detail to truly understand our customers and the business.

What roles are available?

There are opportunities available for Revenue Performance Consultants across the department, in our pricing and inventory management, ancillaries & revenue optimisation teams, for people with strong analytical skills and the ability to balance the needs of the business and its customers when recommending commercial actions. As a Revenue Performance Consultant, you will play a key role in maximizing hundreds of millions of pounds of revenue, with your analysis ultimately driving the price and product that BA offers to customers.

What will you be doing?

You will work in a small team within a department of almost 200 people, working together with key stakeholders across the department, to deliver analysis and insight to optimise British Airways' customer revenue. Your responsibilities will include:

Deliver granular and commercially focused analytical insight to identify practical revenue generating opportunities and assess impact of actions

Initiate change to reporting, systems and/or processes through innovative ideas to enhance commercial decision making in the Revenue Management teams

Analyse performance data to identify key insights, trends & drivers of business performance

What's in it for you?

We offer a competitive salary (starting from £33,000 with potential to increase after the first 6 months on role) as well as a comprehensive package of benefits, including travel concessions, industry discounts and company pension options.

We run a thorough induction programme, consisting of a mixture of classroom and one-to-one training formats. As part of the wider British Airways Analyst Community, you will have access to industry-leading training and development opportunities in a variety of analytics tools and techniques. You will be part of a team that is passionate about the getting the best possible results for BA, driving decisions that have a direct impact on revenue generated, continuously developing and having fun along the way.

We have a structured career development framework within the department, that recognises the contribution that colleagues make in their day-to-day roles as their capabilities grow and develop. There are regular opportunities to move between teams within the department, so you can learn multiple aspects of revenue management and position yourself for future career progression, usually within the first 12-18 months in the department.

Our Corporate and Support roles come with big potential to make your mark on our business. The airline industry changes so fast that we're constantly evolving and finding new ways to impress customers and get ahead of our competitors. If you're an innovator and brave and bold thinker, you will be in your element at British Airways.

We really look forward to hearing about you and what you can bring to the team.
