Description
Telegraph Media Group is looking for a Business Analyst to work across the digital product portfolio. You'll need a self-starter and highly collaborative with a passion of working with business and technology teams to deliver solutions and users experiences to grow our business.
You'll be well versed in using agile methods and enjoy working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Above all, you'll want to make The Telegraph better, which may sometimes involve challenging the status quo.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Working closely with Product, Editorial and Commercial stakeholders to delivery the digital product roadmap by translating this into user stories and technology deliverables
Working closely with Engineering teams and the Delivery Manager to breakdown epics into small feature iterations and getting stakeholder buy-in to deliver business value early and often
Managing the scrum backlog, making sure priorities are agreed, all requirements are understood, delivered as specified and signed off by the stakeholders
Collaborating with technical architects to understand the functional and nonfunctional requirements needed to achieve the best quality product
Working closely with UX and Design to ensure quality user journeys are in place and signed off before the development begins
Collaborating with optimisation teams to ensure we are A/B testing the features and user journeys that require validation
Identifying and managing business and technical dependencies between internal and external teams and advising on the prioritisation of work for delivery
Working with Operational Support teams on production issues to help advise on the business impact and triage the issues whilst keeping the stakeholders up to date as required.
Requirements
Notable experience as a Business Analyst or Scrum Product Owner in a Media or E-commerce digital, agile environment
Sound knowledge of Agile practices especially Scrum and Kanban
Highly proficient in managing and refining product backlogs, managing conflicting requirements and writing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and BDD
Highly collaborative with strong stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with the ability to influence decision making at all levels of the organisation without formal reporting structure authority
Ability to understand complex business and technical issues with the ability to manage workshops and discussions in order to explore solutions and get a consensus on the way forward to solve the problem
Experience working with 3rd party suppliers
Additional (not essential) skills
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target
Experience in user testing and user research
High-level knowledge of common web and app application architectures
