Description
The Telegraph is looking for an analytically minded front-end developer to help deliver personalised experiences for our digital products as part of our MarTech Delivery team. You'll manage the build and execution of personalised experiences through the Adobe Target platform taking advantage of its rules based and machine learning optimisation capabilities.
You will need to be well versed in agile methodologies and working in a multidisciplinary team. Working knowledge of front-end development is essential with an understanding of optimisation tools an advantage. Above all, you'll need to have a strong desire to help deliver joined up digital experiences that delight our customers and improve our business.
The role offers excellent opportunities for developing your technical exposure and, more generally, your wider professional growth. It's a great chance to apply a broad range of technical concepts to support a world-leading publishing and performance marketing platform utilising our fully integrated suite of segmentation and machine learning driven flows and joined up analytics.
It is a hands on role so the candidate is expected to be technical but should also have the confidence to deal with a wide range of stakeholders and will need to work closely with the data science team, business stakeholders, developers and operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Design, test and implement experiences using Adobe Target
Develop advanced JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
Configure and apply analytics to monitor performance of experiments using Adobe Analytics.
Be a good team player with good communication skills and be able to develop and maintain close links with operational teams who support technology domains, products and projects
Develop custom services and integrations using a range of technologies, including Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics.
Conduct quality assurance for experience designs
Assist with design and configuration documentation
Requirements
JavaScript, front end development
Expert of web standards and CSS-driven layouts and a master of the DOM
Strong communicator with experience of working in cross functional teams
Understanding of Adobe or other web analytics
Additional (non-essential) Skills
In depth hands-on experience with any Adobe Marketing Cloud product
Experience of developing within the Adobe Target suite
Working understanding of web analytics
Any personalisation or recommendations experience
Agile development practices
