The purpose of this role is to lead the effective implementation of Smart Communications (Thunderhead) related projects/initiatives and small changes across the business ensuring the customer receives clear and timely communications. You'll also discover an inclusive culture and every opportunity for personal and professional development.  About the role The role holder will: Deliver quality correspondence solutions in the Smart Communications toolset according to agreed deadlines and timescales Develop solutions of high quality with minimal rework needed as a result of errors Takes a lead role for the team on one or more projects, ensuring the team and project manager are kept up to date with progress Proactively develop and maintain best practices as a team Escalate issues and risks appropriately and in a timely fashion Manage own workload, across multiple pieces of work Be an engaging communicator, able to communicate complicated concepts and opportunities to a wide audience of business and IT representatives at all levels. As part of the team monitor and complete business as usual requests alongside project demands Recommend areas for change. Identify, own and drive improvements to the correspondence processes in conjunction with other teams. Responsible for own personal development Actively manage relationships and key stakeholders and look to improve and enhance relationships with other areas at all opportunities. Analyse correspondence requirements at any stage from concept to detailed requirements and provide appropriate input to the project teams Work with our IT providers to design and develop appropriate and effective end to end solutions, including the design of the data inputs. Provide estimates and confirmation of schedule to projects when required. Engage in all stages of projects, keep the project team up to date with progress. Provide timely and accurate defect investigation and resolution where required. Ensure production incidents are investigated, managed and resolved in accordance with incident management procedures. Escalate any high priority incidents appropriately. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system related issues, conducts root cause analysis and recommends options for change to prevent reoccurrence. Act as a consultant to projects and business teams to guide on the use of the available toolset to aid and improve customer communications Research possible solutions to new requirements and inputs to conceptual studies and business cases accordingly Provide expertise in developing prototypes and conducting proofs of concept to assess viability of requested changes. Keep up to date with the CCM industry and tools available and can translate this into how these could be used in our business About you We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience: Demonstrable sound experience of Thunderhead/Smart Communications toolset Previous experience of preparing XML data schemas Javascript, XML, XSL:FO an advantage Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good commercial awareness and understanding of the CCM industry.
