I can assure you, you wouldn't be disappointed after exploring this one further.We're looking for Permanent Java Developers to be based exclusively in London as the newest members of these proper Software Development teams, working on central gov projects.You will be responsible for developing and delivering a wide variety of high quality software applications. The ideal candidate will have about 18 months/2 years commercial Java experienceYou'll also be responsible for:Software development on a varying range of client projects.Responding to client's requests, anticipating and meeting client problems and needs using innovative approaches when applicable.Delivering high quality work to meet client expectations and project deadlines.Involvement in all aspects of the development life cycle.Respond to, and resolve, technical issues.Work alongside clients or directly for client personnel.Contribute to improve software development approaches and quality of deliverables.Report progress to manager, highlighting issues before they become a problem.To be able do this, you'll need:Unrivalled Java experience, either Java J2EE Development or server-side Java.Commercial exposure to one of the following: Oracle; SQLServer; MySQLKnowledge of OS either UNIX or NT.Full Dev life-cycle knowledgeIf you've got any of the below, that's a bonus:Front End experience (JSON/React/CSS)Agile/XP Methodology knowledgeSun Certified Programmer/Developer*Security Clearance is required for this vacancy.
