Slimming World is the UK's most advanced weight management organisation, helping members lose weight in our 19,000 groups around the UK every week and online through our digital programme. Our IT Development department work closely with our Field teams to help them deliver an exceptional service to the members in their care and meet their evolving needs. Currently the team manage, develop and maintain a wide range of websites and in-house systems; and this year sees the start of an exciting project to re-launch our digital experience for Consultants. Providing them with an all-new resource to inform, inspire and support them in their role.   

We're looking for an experienced Lead Developer who can confidently influence the front-end technical strategy while ensuring solutions are robust, secure, performant and testable. Working across two development teams, you'll be involved at every stage of the development cycle. From requirements capture, design, development, testing and release management, to providing on-going support. And crucially you'll play a key role in mentoring and coaching the Front-End team to ensure stretching goals are set and achieved. We'd love to hear from you if you're also:

You'll also have robust experience in developing enterprise-level websites using React and associated technologies, with expert-level skills in:  

HTML5, SASS, Flexbox and other front-end technologies

Git, GitFlow and an understanding of branching models

along with experience of working in and contributing to Agile ceremonies using SCRUM
