Big Data Developer (scala kafka sql python aws big data). Are you a technologist with a love of sports seeking a new challenge? You could be working on a revolutionary new sports streaming / data platform to rival the likes of Sky and BT Sport within a collaborative, technology driven environment.

As a Big Data Developer you will build data processing pipelines (both streaming and batching); engineer features combining data sets from internal and external sources; manage and maintain standards for data analysis tools used across the organisation and implement the full lifecycle of machine learning models. You will collaborate with external sports data providers about source data quality and contribute to future design / architecture solutions that directly impact the business.

You'll be working in a collaborative, technology driven environment - with the opportunity to contribute to technology decisions and product strategy.

You will be based in new offices based in West London with a bright and spacious working environment and outside space used for meetings / breakouts.

Requirements:

Strong functional programming experience (Python, Scala or Go)

Experience with large scale data manipulation and processing (SQL, Spark, BigQuery, Pandas)

Experience with streaming applications (AKKA, Spark streaming, Kafka Streams)

AWS experience (EC22, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)

Good knowledge of the Machine Learning lifecycle (developing, tuning, deploying and health monitoring (Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, SageMaker)

Logical mindset with strong analysis and problem solving skills

Keen interest in sports and keen to work on player tactics, momentum tracking, performance

As a Big Data Developer you will earn a competitive salary (to £85k) plus bonus and benefits.
