3RD Line engineer - (PKI - MPLS - JUNIPER) - Birmingham - 6 monthsOur client, a market leading multi-national technology company are looking for a 3rd line support Engineer, to join them on a customer project based in Birmingham. The assignment is an initial 6 month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate. Candidates are also required to hold or be willing to undergo a higher level of security clearance due to the nature of the projectRole Overview:We are looking for a 3rd line WAN Project configuration engineer. The role will involve Configuring SRX series routers to meet tight project deadlines to enable the delivery of secure network services globally.We need an experienced 3rd line network engineer to join a small team of highly skilled engineers based in Solihull to manage and support the new Ministry of Defence Juniper Core Network. (MCN) WAN estateDaily duties will include a mixture project/implementation work and general support escalations/fault findingWe require a skilled 3rd line engineer capable of configuring, trouble shooting and tuning Juniper network devices. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of configuring and tuning the followingJuniper SRX platformBGPIPSECMPLSPKIJoin a technically strong team, work in a relaxed but focused environment Core SkillsJuniper SRX platform - successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Junos &experience in various SRX platforms. Candidate will have comprehensive CLi exposure. Candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of routing and switchingBGP - successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of configuring and tuning BGP, to include topics such as policy-based routing, manipulation of attributes, load-balancing techniques, and lastly have comprehensive troubleshooting skillset.IPSEC - successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of IPSEC VPN's and be familiar with troubleshooting.MPLS - successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting MPLSPKI - successful candidate will have knowledge of PKI infrastructure elements and be familiar with certificate-based VPN authenticationA national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered
