Job Title: Application Support AnalystLocation: LondonSalary: 42,800 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experienceJob type: Full time, PermanentClosing Date: 23rd March 2020The Role:Maintain and support the Bank's core banking application, ICSFS BANKS®, also known as BASIS and all other back-end and customer facing business applications (like SAS AML) that support the bank's Information Technology operations.You will also be required to support the administration / development of other applications integrated or built around ICSFS BANKS® (BASIS), essentially to retrieve data and populate user defined fields.You will also be expected to possess critical Information Technology management skills such as Business analysis and Process Improvement, Project Management, Release Management and Quality Control, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity and must possess business acumen with in depth understanding of financial business operation flows.Key Responsibilities:Provide input and support the bank's Business and Information Technology strategyProvide support for the bank's current implementation of ICSFS BANKS® (BASIS)Implement new BANKS® and other application releases of existing business application software, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integration as necessaryImplement new business application software, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integration as necessaryProvide first and second-level support for ICSFS BANKS® (BASIS) and other mission critical business applications. Must be able to troubleshoot and provide quality problems resolutionProduce specifications of business requirements to a level that enables effective delivery of agreed changesProduce specifications of business requirements to a level that enables effective and timely delivery of agreed changesProduce specifications and designs for information systems and their components to meet defined business needs, retaining compatibility with enterprise and solution architecturesSpecify, design and maintain mechanisms for storage and access (retrieval) to both structured and unstructured information, in support and business information needsDesign, create, test and document new and amended SQL, packages and programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standardsDevelop, implement and report the findings of suitable test schedules to measure and improve the quality of ICT solutions being deployedIntegrate and test (and retest) components and /or subsystems and their interfaces in order to create operational servicesTransfer application knowledge and associated documentation to the support desk to facilitate service support for new and upgraded ICT solutionsFacilitate productive relationships with and between key stakeholders and departments, during the planning, management and implementation of business changeEnsure that project and business application support documentation is maintainedCo-ordinate the work of suppliers, contractors and colleagues during the development, testing and implementation of new or upgraded business modules or solutionsMobilise and co-ordinate and monitor the efforts of suppliers and contractors in dealing with business and application problems referred to second-line or vendor supportIdentify project related risks and escalate project issues in a timely mannerFollow agreed architecture, design pattern and the software development methodologyDevelop and deliver programs / applications within time and budgetThe Candidate:Highly self-motivated and directedDegree Qualified in Computer Science or any relevant/ related degreeWorking knowledge of ICSFS BANKS® (BASIS) (essential)At least 5 (five) year's in-depth, hands-on knowledge and experience supporting several modules of ICSFS BANKS® (BASIS) with emphasis on:Core System (system setup and product definition)Trade FinanceRemittancesTreasuryInterfaces/ChannelsGood analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in high-pressure environmentAbility to conduct research into software development and delivery concepts, as well as technical application issuesAbility to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly languageVery strong customer service orientationExcellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skillsExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentLeadership qualitiesPlease click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Implementation Manager, Developer, 2nd Line Support Engineer, Application Implementation Manager, SQL Application Support, IT Change Manager, Managed Services Consultant, Application Management, Application Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, Linux Administrator, Change Management Engineer, Application Support Specialist may also be considered for this role.
