Peoplesoft Administrator/ DBA

up to £50,000My client is searching for an experienced Peoplesoft Administrator/DBA to joing their existing team.Role Profile

Work within the Database Services team you will provide specialist PeopleSoft support to the Campus Solutions systems, including support of Weblogic and Tuxedo middleware.

There will also be an element of Supporting Oracle databases, including those that provide service to the PeopleSoft environments and smaller standalone databases.

This role involves working with other DBAs and System Administrators and possibly business users to understand their issues and requirements, and to define and develop fixes and solutions. You will have experience supporting high availability systems and scalable architectures as well as experience of large PeopleSoft environments.Primary area of responsibility:

Building, configuring and supporting PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environments for the Student Experience Project.

Support of the current live student system (also Campus Solutions) will also form part of their role.

The role also involves leading the Database Services team from either a technical perspective, a people/performance perspective or both depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.

Essential role requirements:

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in both technical and people/performance team leadership. Candidates with experience in either area will also be considered.

Previous relevant work experience and either a degree/professional qualification or substantial experience in a similar role.

Experience of Oracle PeopleSoft at PeopleTools 8.55 or later, and 9.2 applications is essential.

Excellent interpersonal skills are also required with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across IT as well as with business users and suppliers.

The ability to deal with complex problems and provide creative solutions to them.

Training to perform specific tasks will be provided as required.
