An Information Security and Risk Lead is required for our client for an initial 6 month position based in Prestwich, Manchester Our client requires a qualified Information Security and Risk specialist, to provide high standard information security and risk services including accreditation, completion of standard risk assessments, preparation of reports for the Senior Information Risk Owner and advising on the design of new IT services. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with the actions arising from the Cybersecurity audit and the current accreditation process for the organisation's iOPS services. The role will be based with the architecture and commercial team (Intelligent Client) within the IT function of a combined IT/IM department. The successful candidate should also expect to work with the Head of Information Management and the Data Protection Officer on all matters of legal and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of: - Planning and implementing information security and risk management- Managing security and risk related incidents- Leadership ability managing upwards and at peer level to achieve information security and risk management outcomes- Relevant national, international, industry and professional standards/legislation associated with the role, for example: Security Policy Framework and ISO 27000 series accreditation.- Demonstrates leadership ability, allocating resources, motivating and delegating tasks.- Use ICT office related software for example: MS Office, MS SharePoint.- Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.- Information Security and/or Risk related qualifications and/or training.- Gather, analyse and present qualitative data. Desirable experience:- Knowledge of Governance and Information Risk Return (GIRR).
