As part of this programme they are looking to hire a Lead Data Analyst & Business Partner DescriptionIn the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) we have a clear aim to create a culture of using data and insight to drive improvements across the whole organisation. This will lead to better decisions, service and outcomes for customers. The Data and Performance team where the Lead Data Analyst and Business Partner role sits is pivotal in creating the data driven culture. We work with managers and senior leaders to ensure that they have the insight they need in order to make evidence-based decisions. Some of the key areas for the team are continuing to develop our business intelligence tool (PowerBI), creating a modelling-simulation capability and seeing how we can use data in innovative ways to improve the service we provideThe Lead Analyst and Business Partner role involves leadership of a mixed skills team who are providing analysis and insight to measure performance and to support continuous improvement throughout the organisation:Analysis and Performance Service DeliveryEnsure that the Government Analysis Function and functional leadership is embedded within PINSCreate a Data Driven Culture within the Organisation which drives up performance across all DirectoratesEnsure key decision makers in the Planning Inspectorate, including the Executive Team have timely, fit for purpose information, analysis, forecasts and insight to aid decision making. This includes development of current and new products in an innovative way, improving the presentation and telling the story. This includes the Inspectorates new PowerBI toolEnsure that the data and analysis that are produced by the team are timely, accurate and meeting all Analytical StandardsEnsure delivery of PINS Official Statistics to the required Standards and Published timescalesAct as the Responsible Officer for the development of PINS Modelling capability, ensuring that models and assumptions are based on sound underpinning evidence / reasoning and fully compliant with assurance requirementsDevelop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of the analytical serviceSupport corporate leadership groups, strategic project teams and change activities through active participation and communication to teamsDeliver effective resource planning through plans and forecasting.
