Do you have the ability to support project risk owners and others in the effective application of project risk management processes as well as reporting key risk information as part of governance arrangements? Are you an analytical and independent thinker with appropriate qualifications/experience? If so, we would like to hear from you! The UK Atomic Energy Authority have an excellent opportunity for a Project Risk Adviser to join their Risk Management team. The role supports an expanding portfolio of projects aimed at delivering nuclear fusion - a sustainable low-carbon source of energy. Key accountabilities/responsibilities include:
- To facilitate the identification, characterisation and management of risk
- To challenge and advise on mitigations, actions and burn down plans
- To support and co-ordinate the project/programme risk review process
- To support risk management software tools and platforms
- To develop and update Programme Risk Management Plans
- To establish, monitor and report on programme/project risk management metrics
- To raise awareness and deliver project risk management training
- Producing detailed Risk Reports

- Experience in Project Risk Management
- Qualified to Bachelor's degree level in a science-based subject or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills to enable effective working relationships to be developed with people in a wide range of roles and levels of responsibility
- Commercial acume Desirable
- Post-graduate qualifications in Risk Management e.g. an International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management
- Project management qualifications and in particular Project Risk Management
- Proven track record and demonstrable experience in a Risk Management role
- Membership of a risk-based profession Special requirements:
