Having recently moved into a brand new office space near Moorgate, they are on the hunt for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Systems Engineer to join the business!Job descriptionIn this Systems Engineer gradate job, you will embark on an initial 3-6 month training period where you will be taking part in all of the courses and training classes that are provided to their clients! In this period, you will be shadowing key members of the business, learning more about their infrastructure and process and honing your database and systems knowledge. After this period elapses there are then opportunities to specialise in different areas of the business as you move into a more client focused role. A willingness to learn and a desire to work within a start-up environment are paramount to success in this role!Key responsibilitiesIn this Systems Engineer graduate role, your responsibilities will include:

'€¢Supporting key members of the team in the automation and transformation of servers, networks and IT infrastructure'€¢Maintenance and deployment of Linux desktops and servers'€¢Administration of network infrastructure'€¢Assisting with the development of configuration management'€¢Always working to drive best practice standards, and where practical taking preference on open source solutions

Job requirements

'€¢A degree within Computer Science, Networks, Engineering or a similar discipline'€¢Familiarity with Linux, having ideally used it within academic / commercial projects or in your spare time'€¢Interest and exposure to programming / scripting, ideally with Python'€¢A keen interest in automation, networks, IT infrastructure'€¢Exposure to an Agile/Scum environment is advantageous, but not compulsory
