Currently looking for a Senior Database Administrator / Developer to support a well-known Client who is a leading innovator in legal technology to start on a 6 months contract beginning in MarchYou will be joining a well established team of six in the organisation reporting into one of the Heads of Development who are looking for an experience Senior DBA to complete the team.Some of the day to day skills include:Troubleshooting database performance issues (using DPA),Be able to point out to issues and address them by tweaking MS SQL settings or changing queries.Performance improvements of SQL queries.Writing SQL queries.Providing guidance to the developers eg "this query has been executed 100 times, cache it".Continuous improvement of work practices to automate and reduce support practicesWrite documentation and provide progress reports to managementContribute to database administration process improvements Skills and ExperienceStrong experience with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience in administrating databases on SQL ServerStrong experience with Process improvements of SQL queriesPrevious database administration experience in a medium to large organisationStrong communication skills written and verbalDevelopment experience highly desirable For information on this opportunity please apply with your most up to date CV and I will give you a call to discuss ASAP.
