Leading UK organisation require a MI Systems Analyst to translate data and user requirements into Functional Requirements, Data Catalogues, Data Dictionaries and Test Plans that can be use by the MIS development team for development of Data Warehouse reporting applications. This is a key role with the analyst team as the role holder will be expected to act as an intermediary between the business, business analysts and the MIS development team. Client DetailsLeading UK OrganisationDescriptionLeading UK organisation require a MI Systems Analyst to translate data and user requirements into Functional Requirements, Data Catalogues, Data Dictionaries and Test Plans that can be use by the MIS development team for development of Data Warehouse reporting applications. This is a key role with the analyst team as the role holder will be expected to act as an intermediary between the business, business analysts and the MIS development team. Key Responsibilities Document as-is and to-be business reporting data models, processes and workflows, identifying relevant problems with existing systems and processes. Support impact assessments for data warehouse developments. Prepare change proposals, functional specifications, data catalogues and test plans for use by the MIS development teams. Manage the creation of Data Dictionaries for new data warehouse systems developments and updates resulting from changes to systems already operational. Validate and prioritise requirements with business users and MIS development teams. Articulate and formulate KPI's, analytics and data insight. Skills & Attributes Ideally a minimum of five years' experience in an MI/data driven environment working with large and complex data systems. Strong analytical skills to deconstruct complex data models and reporting systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Experienced in providing data-based evidence to support organisational decision making Capable of planning and monitoring own analysis activities and assessing impacts to deadlines when priorities change. Exposure to data analysis and reporting tools e.g. Business Objects, SPSS. Skills in SQL, ideally Oracle PL/SQL, and MS-Excel. Knowledge of Financial Services sector would be preferable.
