Job Title: Controls Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Automation EngineerLocation: PooleSalary: Up to £27,000 - £35,000 depending on experienceJob Type: Full Time PermanentThe Company is a leading provider of natural and smoke ventilation systems to business and local authority customers across the UK since 1988.Well known for innovation, customer commitment, reliability and value, their success is based on a practical, straight forward approach to solving smoke and natural ventilation problems, taking complex problems and making them simple.Their comprehensive range of products includes roof ventilators, dampers and fans together with their designed and manufactured control systems, offering basic and fully bespoke control solutions.Key Duties & Responsibilities:To design control systems for smoke ventilation control panels, this will involve electrical wiring design and programming of industrial programmable logic controllers (PLC's).Predominantly office based with occasional site visits to at customer sites for commissioning of systems. Operating in a small team, you'll be the centre point of technical support with project managers and installers.Within the role your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Conceptual design, development, prototyping and testing of firmware for new electronic control productsTranslation of customer specification into designs for electronic and control products.Continuous improvement of existing productsProvision of technical support for both internal and external customers on both new and existing productsLiaison with suppliers on technical aspects of integration of new products into product rangeCompile technical information for technical updates, CE files and product installation and operating manualsThe Candidate:Minimum HNC qualified electrically bias Engineer preferably with a background working in the building services, industrial automation or commercial industry.
