Systems Administrator (Microsoft Windows Hyper-V AWS Oracle Network Infrastructure VPN). Key partner to the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a positive, tech-driven Systems Administrator to support their day to day operation.

The organisation specialises in leading-edge software products and consultancy services to help clients improve the supply of samples to their vital research processes. In this Systems Administrator role you'll have the opportunity to work with up-to-the-minute tech and get involved in a diverse range of projects, from 1st line and deskside support duties to server support and back end hardware verification.

As a Systems Administrator you'll work across process improvement, workstation and centralised administration, playing a critical role in setting up new systems for staff, liaising with international remote sites to assist with workstation configuration, maintaining electronic record keeping and procuring the specific hardware and licences needed to uphold smooth daily operation.

In this Systems Administrator role, you'll take ownership of 1st Line support responsibilities, performing administration of the customer AWS systems, provisioning new environments and monitoring alerts. You'll also work to create and organise Virtual Machines stored on the Virtual Server / Hyper-V and diagnose issues, updating IT records relating to internal procedures.

This Systems Administrator role would suit a process minded individual, keen to expand their skill base and gain invaluable business-wide exposure in a highly technical (but non-pressured) environment.

Requirements:

You have experience as a Systems Administrator (or similar role)

You have experience supporting a Microsoft Windows environment (and supporting MS Office applications)

You have hands-on knowledge of virtualisation (MS Hyper-V preferable)

You have experience of managing AWS systems

You have strong knowledge of network infrastructure (e.g. firewalls, routers and switches, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and VPNs)

You have some knowledge of relational databases, such as Oracle
