Rate - £743.00 per day (Umbrella)

Description:

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
Takes responsibility for the definition; documentation and safe execution of a single major project or a number of smaller initiatives; actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies; assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Effectively estimates costs; timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference. Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and tracks all activities against the plan; providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders; as appropriate. Monitors and forecasts costs; timescales and resources used; and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria. Manages the change control procedure; ensures that change is captured; impact assessed and approved and ensures that project deliverable's are completed within planned cost; timescale and resource budgets; and are signed off. Gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors. Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience. Takes appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. Actively represents the project team; ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained with the business. Ensures that own projects are formally closed and; where appropriate; subsequently reviewed; and that lessons learned are captured and actioned. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.

Job Description:

Development and publication of a bulk data Intranet Page to provide MoD with a single point of reference for all bulk data policy and guidance.
Co-ordination, assessment and reporting of TLB Personal Bulk Data Returns.
Co-ordination, assessment and reporting of TLB Critical Bulk Data Returns.
Implementation of independent Bulk Data assessment verification audits to provide confidence in TLB reporting and to ensure that an accurate Bulk Data risk picture is captured
Integration of Bulk Data Assessments into the Defence Assurance Risk Tool (DART)
Integration of Bulk Data Requirments into the MoD Cloud Strategy as it evolves and develops.
Development and Publication of enhanced Bulk Data Measures to provide direction to MoD on additional controls that should be implemented over and above the 15 NCSC measures, where the nature of the Bulk Data system (and the impact of its compromise) requires it.
Co-ordination of annual renewal of Oracle Security Suite Support
Raise awareness of bulk data requirements both internally and externally to DAIS and to encourage use of the Oracle Security Suite where appropriate.
Develop appropriate Management Information and Key Performance Indicators to enable the measurement of bulk data compliance across MoD.
Integration of bulk data requirements into JSP 440 and JSP 604.
Bulk Data input into Annual Security Reports.
