Due to a number of major contracts that have just been successfully won, I am now working in partnership with the small engineering arm of a global corporation who are looking for an ambitious and talented Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join a mixed team of hardware and firmware engineers.
The job entails researching new technologies, evaluating new development tools/processes and providing supporting and assistance in all firmware matters.
With a strong financial backing, your career development is important to the business and can provide opportunities to learn new technologies and a fantastic route of progression within.
Ideally you will be an graduate with a strong electronic academic background, preferably with commercial exposure, though not essential.
Key Skills
-Knowledge of firmware/embedded software development skills.
-C/C++
-Low power microcontrollers
-Background using STM32/ARM Cortex
-Knowledge of RTOS
-Electronics/Hardware knowledge
It would be also beneficial to be skilled/knowledgeable in:
-GSM / GPS / 2g/3g Modems
-Wireless communication protocols: One of Zigbee, WiFi, Bluetooth an advantage
-C# desktop programming
-Automated/Unit Testing
You will be someone who can bring innovative ideas to the table and not be afraid of getting your point across. You will be working within a high-performing laid back team in a relaxed environment so you need to be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
