Test ManagerCardiff
We are looking for a Test Manager to lead and manage our Software Testing Function and team, working closely with the Project or Engagement Manager to plan activities in line with the product roadmaps and customer project requirements.
Central to the role is the management of testing activities throughout the complete development lifecycle, from project initiation through to UAT and delivery.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
• Produce Test Strategy and Test Plans - Develop and document a test strategy and test plans that are appropriate for an individual project
• Plan, Estimate and Resource - Pro-actively define resource requirements, estimate, plan, monitor and re-plan resources and activities taking into account agreed financial and time constraints and quality/project objectives
• Implement testing procedures for test design, test execution and test incident management
• Manage the test team in their activities including test design, test execution and test incident management.
• Report - providing regular progress reporting of the testing and on the quality of the application under test.
Key Skills
• Test Management Tools - understanding of and ability to effectively use test management tools to maintain testing deliverables, and to report on testing progress.
• Defect Tracking Tools - ability to define and implement standards for a selected tracking tool, manage defect tracking and interpret defect trends.
• Configuration Management Tools - understanding of and ability to implement configuration management tools and have an understanding of configuration Management issues and controls.
• Development of test strategies, resource planning and estimating.
• Test planning, design and development, with testing lifecycle experience based on established methodologies and techniques.
• Experience of offshored project delivery would be a significant advantage.
• Proven team leadership.
Due to the nature of this work you must be eligible for SC level clearance.
