Network Specialist - Outside IR35Our client who are a leading manufacturing organisation currently require a contractor for an initial 3-6 months to help support Network elements through Planning and delivery of key projects.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

'€¢Prepare network designs in line with project scope and requirements specified by Enterprise and Network Architects.'€¢Provide support to resolve complex problems.'€¢Create, maintain and review technical design documentation through Project lifecycle'€¢Conduct detailed analysis of network performance statistics using a variety of tools to support project delivery'€¢Assist with the development of network optimisation and capacity plans'€¢Prepare and implement firewall rules'€¢Produce implementation scripts, test plans and change controls for network changes'€¢Build network infrastructure, test and deploy network changes'€¢Engage other technical teams to drive through network changes that require their support'€¢Follow ITIL Framework for changes and incidents

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

'€¢"Hands-on" experience gained with network installation and upgrade projects'€¢Data networking experience including routing and switching, and configuring QoS.'€¢Managing installation and support on WLAN/LAN/WAN infrastructure, including SD-WAN technology, SIP trunking and Firewalls.'€¢In-depth knowledge of Cisco switches, routers and management tools (e.g. Cisco Prime).'€¢Working knowledge of Skype implementation and development'€¢Professional, positive and decisive in approach.'€¢Be prepared for international travel and hold a valid UK driving license.'€¢Be prepared to work unsociable hours (i.e. evenings, potentially weekends)

Preferred

'€¢IP Routing including Cisco IWAN and/or SD-WAN'€¢Cisco Networking'€¢Experience of WAN & LAN IP protocols'€¢Wireless networking'€¢Firewalls'€¢Technology refreshes in Manufacturing location'€¢Cloud Hosting'€¢Virtual Data Centres (VDC)
