Frontend developer - Some Remote working

Location: Bradford

Salary £35k - £50k

The role

An opportunity to join our growing Digital team as a Front End Developer. You will be joining at a time when the Digital Strategy is forming, as the company set up for market disruption in the business sector, working on exciting projects with new and innovative technologies.

The role will supplement the existing team of developers, and have a specific focus on delivering rich customer experiences which is at the heart of our future and underpins our digital focus.

As Front End Developer you will play a key role within the digital team and be responsible for building market leading experiences as well as driving user centered developments across multiple platforms. As Front End Developer you will be able to take lead on large scale projects from receiving approved designs through to development, UAT and launch. You will work closely with designers to identify areas for improvement and give your feedback based on your development experience.

The Front End Developer is accountable for:

*Identifying, analysing and creating market leading websites

*Collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.

*Balancing business requirements with what is right for our users

*Effectively deliver measured improvements to our websites

*Deliver the Digital roadmap.

*Contribute to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification)

*Deliver engaging desktop, tablet and mobile experiences.

*Take the lead on large scale projects, and from concept to launch endeavour to deliver websites our users want, can easily use, and remember using.

Essential:

*Expert level HTML 5 and CSS, including pre-processors such as SASS

*Experience working with RESTful Services and APIs

*Track record building responsive, interactive user interfaces

*Ability to write cross-browser compatible code and be familiar with optimisation techniques

*Task runners Grunt or Gulp

*Familiar with Git and Version Control Systems

*Vanilla JavaScript

*React

Duties include

*Build reusable code and libraries for future use

*Strong graphic design skills and be proficient with Photoshop

*Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and business stakeholders to ensure that high quality builds meet design specifications

*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

*Ability to work collaboratively with UX designers, back end developers and product owners

*A high level of concentration and resilience to stay focused on a project to the end and meet deadlines
