Through continued growth they are looking for a Software Research & Development Engineer to join their growing team in their brand new research centre.The ideal candidate will be degree qualified have experience of C/C++ software design and experience of RF engineering.In this role you will support the design, build and deliver of the latest generation of smart wireless devices and solutions.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a technically interesting and forward thinking company in a varied and challenging role where they reward their staff well through share options and a competitive salary.The Role:

*Lead development of highly efficient network protocols for proprietary RF subsea networks

*Create innovative algorithms to optimise communications across subsea network nodes

*Develop the simulation models of algorithms before implementing them for field use

*Analyse data from real-world deployments to both validate and improve modelsThe Person:

*Bachelor's degree (Masters/PhD preferred) in Computer Science or related field

*Experience of software design. Track record of understanding new concepts and coming up with innovative ideas

*Technical Skills likely to include elements from:

- Deep understanding of low-power RF protocols

- Embedded C/C++

- Designing for low-power micro-controllers
