Linux Systems Administrator / Platform Engineer (Linux RHCE CPU IO Low Latency Network TCP). Are you a technologist seeking a technically challenging role where you can take a lead role, remain hands-on with technology and make a real impact? As a Linux Systems Administrator / Platform Engineer you will ensure that the high frequency, low latency trade execution and real-time market data platform is efficient, reliable and fit for purpose. You'll be an SME and provide technical leadership to like-minded technical experts with a focus on server infrastructure and networks; identifying bottlenecks within a system and tuning them accordingly (e.g. disk sub systems, the network stack).

You'll based in open plan City based offices with a range of facilities and break out areas including pool table and ping pong table. There's a good work / life balance including flexible working hours and the option to work from home for part of the week.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Linux OS (ideally RHCE); ability to troubleshoot kernel level systems problems

Experience of tuning systems based on CPU / IO / Memory profiles

Knowledge of low latency network technologies e.g. ChelsIO / Solarflare

Good understanding of core networking concepts including TCP, LAN/WAN protocols and datacentre architectures

Leadership / mentoring experience; collaborative and keen to share knowledge and continually learn

Organised and able to cope with multiple concurrent projects
