IT Network Support Engineer (2nd / 3rd Line)

My client, a successful IT organisation is looking for a passionate IT Network Support Engineer (2nd / 3rd Line) to join their close knit internal IT team. This is an office based role, with hours of 8:30 - 17:00 at the head offices in Coventry.

I am looking for a knowledgeable IT Engineer for this role, who has the experience of working on a busy technical helpdesk.

Typical responsibilities will include:
*Taking escalated calls from customers around the UK.
*Remotely accessing customer environments to carry out detailed fault diagnostics.
*Providing excellent levels of customer service at all time.
*Travelling to customer sites as required for planned meetings or project work.
*Running daily checks on backups and carrying out preventative maintenance on customer environments.
*Preparing and building customer equipment as required.
*Completing small projects as required, including researching and testing new products and technologies.
*Being a Project based company; timesheets is a key element at monitoring costs.

Key Skills and Experience required:
*A proven history of being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across a client base of 850 users via remote connectivity, telephone or email.
*Proven experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack.
*Good understanding of Network platforms; ability to configure Cisco routers and Fortinet firewalls.
*Overall appreciation of system security, requirements and proven experience with relevant software and hardware solutions.
*Knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions including Office 365 and Azure.
*Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, Hyper V, VMware and Citrix administration.
*Confident verbal and written communicator with both clients and peers.
*Ability to research new products and information around technical solutions that provide answers and solve problems.
*Self-Motivated and disciplined, with the ability to prioritise and execute tasks under pressure.
