IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Technical Support Analyst who is ideally Microsoft certified with experience working within a well-controlled IT environment following ITIL practices and is confident providing technical advice, supporting projects and managing servers is required by a well-established Company based in Canary Wharf, London.

SALARY: up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits    

LOCATION: Canary Wharf, London

JOB TYPE: Full Time, Permanent

HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Technical Support Analyst who is ideally Microsoft certified with experience working within a well-controlled IT environment following ITIL practices and is confident providing technical advice, supporting projects and managing servers.

Working as the IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Technical Support Analyst you will join a busy 4 person infrastructure team, to take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the IT infrastructure, typically specialising in certain parts of the infrastructure.

As the IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Technical Support Analyst you will report to the IT Operations Manager and your role will involve responding to third line support calls, managing the services, SAN and LAN/WAN and the installation and maintenance of both cloud (Infrastructure-As-A-Service) and on-premise applications within a mature VMWare and Citrix environment.  You will also be involved with regular projects involving the introduction of new applications and services and the ongoing upgrade of infrastructure equipment and systems.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the IT Infrastructure Engineer / 3rd Line Technical Support Analyst you will ideally have a strong technical knowledge of the following technologies:

Microsoft operating systems and MS Exchange

VMware

Citrix

SharePoint

SQL Servers and clustering

SAN

Networking and Telecoms

Backups

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Microsoft Certification is highly desirable

Experience working within a disciplined and well-controlled IT environment following ITIL practices and working within an agile framework

Familiar with maintaining and working from documented operational procedures

Microsoft, VMware and/or Networking qualifications would be highly desirable

Able to work in a high pressure and fast moving environment

Ability to manage a busy workload

Confident in providing technical advice, delivery estimates and problem analysis within your area of expertise
