Trading Applications Analyst with development skills vacancy for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.Exciting opportunity to take DevOps & Support to the next level, you will be part of a team working for an international bank where you will take responsibility for production issues, investigate them and most importantly use your development skills fix the problems. A very collaborative role with direct access to users & clients where you will be able to promote best practice & enjoy improving development so that there are fewer issues to be resolved.Your experience/skills:5+ years' experience of working as a Trading Application Analyst / Support Team member in a complex heterogeneous IT infrastructure environment, in a high pressure, demanding area such as Banking or Trading is a mustSolid hands-on Development and Engineering Background: DevOps, .NET, Java, Python, SQL is a mustStrong technical skills: Unix (e.g. handling files, searching logs, checking processes), Databases / SQL (Oracle / Sybase / Microsoft SQL), as well as Windows Server combined with Networks understanding are requiredExcellent understanding of Business Flows in the financial sector (Equities, FX and Structured Products)Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with excellent time management skills (ability to prioritize multiple tasks and critical IT incidents at once)Languages: English, fluent in written and spokenYour tasks:Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the key partners, particularly, with the Business Users and Application Development Teams to provide a single point of contact for IT issues in this spaceInvestigating current issues in order to provide the business with solutions or workarounds to minimize business impacts (and especially, external client impact)Arranging with other teams to resolve complex issues across systems owned by different departmentsBeing responsible for root cause analysis to ensure issues are permanently fixed in order to improve the quality of the platform and the user/client experienceLeading major incident resolution to ensure that incidents which may have an adverse impact are appropriately resolvedProviding improvements across software applications including monitoring and automationStart: ASAP
