Senior IT Technician/2nd Line/ Desktop Support Analyst/2nd Line Support Technician /IT Technician / IT Support Engineer / IT Service Engineer / IT Service Desk Technician / Helpdesk Engineer / IT Support Technician / Support Technician / Technical Support / IT Support / IT Systems Engineer / IT Systems Support / Desktop Support/Second Line Support/Service Desk Analyst As the Senior IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing both hardware and software support to the Client. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of the computer systems and peripherals. You would also be providing one-on-one consultancy to end users to resolve/fulfil issues and requests, along with assisting in the maintenance and testing of desktop systems and applications. The position is based in Newbury and may require travelling internationally at least once a month.Responsibilities:Handle/process escalation from service deskInstallation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance and usability of desktop/ laptop computers, handheld/mobile devices, peripheral equipment and software.Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware and softwareMaintain system and training documentationEscalate issues to management with all appropriate information before they impact the business.Skills/ Qualifications required:A minimum of 3 yrs. experience providing Desktop Support/ in a bio-medical or medical environment is beneficialExperience with support Microsoft products and solutions, Windows, Office (O365)Excellent customer service skillsAbility to troubleshoot/diagnose hardware and software issuesBe able to handle small projects with moderate oversightFollow documented process and procedures to deliver consistently excellent solutionsWell versed wit different operating systems and platforms If you would like to be considered for this great opportunity, then please apply below.
