The Role

As the UI Developer, your main duties will include implementing UI solutions for our cognitive capabilities and AI solutions within a commercial environment, as well as conceptualising new ideas and techniques to help the business exceed client expectations.

Your aim will be to build inspiring and engaging user interfaces that maximise user retention and sentiment. To achieve this, you'll work closely with our passionate and multi-disciplined Technology team, liaising effectively with Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers and the wider UX team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead front-end UI development on project/product sprints

Developing and implementing quality UI solutions for web, mobile, AI and robotics applications

Plan workload and keep team informed of progress

Accurately estimating time of required tasks

Test UI of applications thoroughly across multiple browsers and platforms

Liaising with the Product Owner team to ensure you are delivering customised software aligned to client specifications and our customer's standards and procedures, and producing the highest quality output

Providing assistance in integrating software applications with third-party technologies

Producing bug-free code while achieving objectives within an allocated timeframe

Being involved in de-bugging web application UI as well as participating in Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing

Ensure applications are tested and performance-optimised

Assisting in research and development to discover new ideas and technologies that will help exceed client expectations

Keeping on top of the latest trends and advancements in technology through relevant reading, and sharing your findings with other members of the team

Review finished UI and suggest further interaction and functional enhancements

Work on multiple projects with short turnaround times

Skills and Experience

At least 4-5 years' experience in a similar role

Ability to create bespoke UI by hand-coding JS, HTML and CSS to a world-class standard

Extensive experience of UI-focused JS libraries and technologies such as WebGL, GSAP, three.js, d3.js, Unity

Experience of functional JS libraries such as Angular and jQuery

Knowledge of CSS pre-processors (ideally SASS)

Experience in mobile/app development
