Devops Engineer Birmingham

My client based in Birmingham City centre is looking for an experienced Devops Engineer to join their team!

This is a newly created role and will see you joining the team at a very exciting time in their journey!

This role will see you leading the on going implementation of both Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment(CD) pipeline technologies in the development strategy. It will also see you supporting the development team through automation of different areas as well as designing the deployment and architecture, support and implementation of the technology environments.

To be successful in this role you should ideally have some or all of the following experience:

*Building CI pipelines for web applications ideally in Azure Dev ops, as well as building and supporting platforms in public cloud services.

*Experience of infrastructure as code, ideally with Azure ARM templates nad desired State Configuration, using Powershell DSC.

*Experience of systems administration of LAMP and Windows environments and scripting in a common language such as BASH, Powershell or Python.

*Source control with Git on one of the following: Github, Bit bucket, Gitlab, Azure Devops repos.

*Solid understand of web services, APIS and Micro services Architecture as well as TCP/IP networking concepts and major protocols.

Any experience in the implementation of redundant / high availability solutions , or working with the full software delivery life cycle as well as the below would be highly beneficial but is not essential :

*Cloud services (Azure or any AWS experience)

*Docker ( Kubernetes)

*IIS/ Axure App Services

*Node.js or modern front end slack

*Bash /Python
