Job Title: Senior DevOps EngineerSalary: £50,000 - £64,860Location: Manchester What to expect: Our agile team is set up to improve the user experience across a range of features within the company product offerings. Delivering the latest concepts requires a robust and efficient continuous integration and validation system as well as the managing automating of builds/releases, automated deployments and automated testing. Our DevOps Engineers strive to automate most of the software development life cycle process in order to proactively identify gaps that exist in the path to production. Focusing on user experience we are expanding our supply base to work with consumer electronics, apps and web concepts. Following a rapid release strategy you will help us write software that helps others write better software. You'll also help to design and implement software systems to meet desired user experience as well as functional, and security requirements. Rapidly iterating and developing concepts on mobile platforms you'll also work with open source communities as well as partner companies and external suppliers to create new concepts. You'll establish and maintain an automated path to production from code committing to vehicle. You'll develop and debug build, deploy, and test related issues. You'll help us to develop automated software tools and utilities to improve the developer ramp up process. What you'll need You should have a DevOps mindset and practise DevOps prinicples on a daily basis. A good level of development operations experience is needed, you will have worked with a wide array of DevOps technologies such as Terraform, AWS, GCP, Pivotal, Ansible, GitLab - particuarly pipeline creation/design, Packer/Vagrant, Jenkins, ELK, Docker etc. You should have worked with bash, IAC and have developed and integrated large scale software systems, you will also be proficient in a number of software version control systems and related tools.You will be able to write scripts in Python or Perl to automate SW build activities and will have experience of developming in Linux We are looking for someone who has helped to deliver technical products through a team, utilising strong people management skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate at all levels.
