Business Analyst - Data

Spring Technology are working with a leading energy company to recruit a Data focused Business Analyst to work on their data focused project based in their excellent offices in Canary Wharf. Please note, this is a 12 month, fixed term engagement contract.

The Role

The successful candidate will be based within our client's IT department and work with stakeholders to initiate projects, develop business cases and support the PMO. You will be interacting with different stakeholders across the business about the details of how data is currently used and structured within the business. You will also be working on wider data related initiatives.

The Responsibilities

*Be the liaison between IT security and business end users on matters about structured and unstructured data.

*Lead data protection and data security risk analysis.

*Produce and maintain analysis documentation e.g. Data Mapping.

*Deliver on business strategy and objectives.

*Support BA activities and management information analysis.

*Assist, guide and influence stakeholders towards strategic decisions.

*Collaborate with third party data security techniques.

*Working with third parties on issues relating to data ownership and governance.

*Assist with the creation of business cases.

The Requirements

*Experience working within a similar rule is vital.

*Proven business analysis skills.

*Stakeholder management experience.

*Experience with data modelling and data security.

*Experience with data reporting tool e.g. Power BI.

*Ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into simple understandable models.

*Excellent communication skills as this role require communicating with stakeholders at different hierarchy levels.
