Women in Tech Scholarship 2020 Manchester

"I want to be me, and for that to be enough".

Here at GCHQ, we have a clear purpose - to protect people in the UK, whether at home, overseas or online. Our diverse, world-leading team works against cyber-attacks, delivers intelligence and furthers the UK's national interest. We always do it together, supporting each other every step of the way.

It's only with different perspectives and mindsets that we can come up with creative solutions to protect the UK. So we've partnered with a leading training provider in Manchester to deliver a tailored development course for women. It's designed to encourage those with previous careers in technology to return and to give aspiring technologists the career they really want.

This is a full-time coding course in which you'll take on formal training and practical exercises. We're keen for you to put your learning into practice, so you'll create designs and models and implement requirements by writing code. We'll fully fund the £9,000 course fees and you'll also receive a £4,000 bursary. After graduating in autumn/winter 2020, you could start an incredible career as a Software Engineer at GCHQ.

With a passion for problem solving and a curiosity for tech, you'll thrive as a GCHQ scholar. You might have already started a career in tech or have a keen interest in it. Either way, you'll have a technical mentor to support you throughout the programme. You just need to be dedicated to learning something new. Apply now, and join the scholarship that gives women what they want.
