Job purpose

The Mechanical Design Engineer will provide support to the Electrical Project Engineer for providing design specifications for a prestigious 3 stage mining project.

Roles and responsibilities

Mechanical design for each stage of the project. * Production of mechanical drawings for all applications. * Production of stress, heating and loading calculations. * Design of cost-effective solutions and continues improvements. * Comply with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions, including health and safety. * Comply with and promote the Company's values and behaviours.

Essential qualifications,experience and knowledge

Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Solidworks / Autocad 2&3" D". * Knowledge of Engineering procedures and IEC standards. * Proven experience in a similar role. * High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.

Desirable qualifications, experience and knowledge

Knowledge of certification procedures. * Hazardous area regulations knowledge. * Working in a highly regulated environment. * Knowledge of electrical principles.
