We're a leading specialist provider of education and care for youngsters with behavioural, emotional, communication and complex learning needs. So developing our software is a way for you to have a genuinely positive social impact. And, because you'll likely be working from home, with weekly site visits (unless you'd prefer to work from our beautiful Cumbrian head office), you can make your mark from wherever you're based.
The support you'll offer to the Development team in improving and maintaining systems will be comprehensive. You'll complete all phases of the software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to build, testing and support, meeting with key stakeholders and writing tech specs as you go. We'll look to you to deliver reusable, reliable code and data storage solutions; to identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions for both; not to mention supporting legacy systems and the implementation of a DevOps environment. You'll even assist in code reviews and provide end user support.
Our experienced Development team have big ambitions for the future software we use. We're aspiring to lead the way in our sector, so will welcome your ideas on how to help get us there, from basic improvements to whole new mini systems. In return you'll be given lots of support and mentoring, plus the opportunity to learn newer technologies such as .NET Core.
We're looking for a great analyst and problem solver with proven .NET abilities. You'll also need:
It's also essential that you have a full, clean UK driving licence and are happy to work flexible hours when required. Plus, a strong commitment to ensuring you're here, on site, when we need you.
