Since then, the firm has grown to employ motivated engineers, scientists and supporting professionals across the U.K. They have regional offices in: Belfast, Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh, Inverness, Middlesbrough and Liverpool.The firm is seeking to recruit an Occupational Hygienist / H&S Consultant to join their growing team based in Glasgow, Rosyth or Liverpool office. The position may require travel, occasional overnight stays throughout the U.K., and potentially work trips to Ireland and Europe depending on project requirements.A positive place to work, they aim to implement the motto 'See a Difference' in everything that they do.Job Duties:Occupational Hygiene Monitoring, e.g. air monitoring, occupational noise assessmentsThorough examinations and tests of LEV systemsHealth and Safety legal compliance audits and inspections, including developing tailored legal registers and prioritised action plansSite specific risk assessments, e.g. COSHH, Manual Handling and DSEOn-site support (e.g. acting as the on-site Health and Safety Advisor)Training - design and delivery of training, seminars and facilitation of workshopsProvide marketing and business development support, identifying new clients and opportunities, to support the growth and expansion of the firmThe Candidate:EducationBOHS accredited degreeHonours or Master's Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, environmental health, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related subjectExperience and competence in:2-5 years' experience in occupational hygiene monitoring, e.g. air monitoring for hazardous substances, conducting occupational noise assessments, carrying out thorough examinations and tests of local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systemsCertificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene, or working towards attaining thisKnowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and requirementsGraduate membership of IOSH and working towards chartershipPersonal AttributesExpected to demonstrate personal initiative, motivation for the roleProject management skillsGood customer management skillsGood written and presentation skillsBe proficient in Microsoft Office Professional software packagesHave a full U.K. driving licence and clean driver recordHave a valid passportThe Company is an equal opportunities employer and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits programmes with growth opportunities.
