One of my key clients in Cork are currently seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join their team on an initial 12 month hourly rate contract. The company are a global medical device company, specialising in the manufacture of a broad range of medical devices including catheters and inflation devices. Role: Senior Analytical ChemistLocation: CorkContract: An initial 12 month hourly rate contract Your role as a Senior Analytical Chemist will be to be responsible for leading the set-up of the new Analytical Chemistry lab. Responsibilities:Provide analytical chemistry Subject Matter Expertise.Ensure the lab space, layout and set-up is fit for purpose and completed on time.Evaluate & validate analytical methods across range of techniques as required to support product transfer.Support of the Equipment Engineering team in the qualification of analytical test equipment.Support the hiring of new lab personnel as well as the training of new employees on Test Methods and GLP.Implement a process for the review and approval of Laboratory results and documentation, as required the trending and charting of data.Identify appropriate software applications to be utilised in the laboratory.Set-up a process for the management of laboratory equipment, inventory & spend.Ensure equipment calibration and qualification as required.Review of all laboratory Quality Systems to ensure compliance to cGMP.Provide training, technical guidance / trouble shooting to laboratory staff including review of associated training records.Provide progress updates at Project Meetings and site management meetings. Be able to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Science5+ years experience as an Analytical ChemistExperience in working to ISO13485:2016 lead auditorProven communication experience No CV ready? Not sure yet?
