LBG is the UK's leading digital bank, with over 30 million UK customers across our three main brands, as well as the UK's biggest mobile bank. Here in Commercial Banking (CB) we have clients across a wide range of business sectors, from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations and financial institutions. Many of our clients are household names. Our colleagues are based across the UK and in seven locations around the world in Europe, North America and Asia. We are helping to drive infrastructure, manufacturing, exporting and supporting UK growth. This is part of our pledge to make the UK economy stronger and help British businesses. It's how we are helping Britain prosper.

What are the Divisional Data Offices? Lloyds Banking Group recognises that data is a significant business differentiator for financial services companies. Across the banking industry, Data Quality (DQ) Management is receiving increased attention and focus. LBG is responding to this by developing DQ as a core pillar within the CB Divisional Data Office. A highly visible topic, DQ is an area to be in right now as it is key to building trust in the data we own and consume. In joining our team you would play a key role in leading a small team to develop tools and processes that measure, remediate and improve the quality of CB's data assets.

So what is the role? The Data Quality Manager provides support in the development, implementation, interpretation and monitoring of data quality and metadata management processes across the Group, largely working with programmes and business areas to support their data quality and metadata management needs.

You and your team will be a source of expertise for metadata, data quality management and tools such as JIRA and SQL or other similar database development tools.

You'll handle processes for identifying/defining metadata within the Division

You'll handle processes for defining data quality requirements, standards, rules and controls within the Division

You'll support your Division to interpret and apply data management standards consistently across all business areas and change programmes

You'll attend relevant Divisional bodies to represent metadata management

You'll help to embed DQ elements of the Group Data Management Framework plus support data owners and data stewards to measure the quality of data, quantify the impact of DQ issues and ensure DQ root cause and resolution

What background are we looking for? We are looking for experience in metadata management and data quality disciplines within Data Management, ideally both in practice and policy level. If you have knowledge of business data modelling that would also be advantageous.

You should be comfortable working with cross-functional and multi-discipline teams, plus translating technical impacts and requirements. You'll personally be focused on ensuring you achieve results and you'll inspire your team to drive through actions and progress towards improved DQ standards.

You'll also have experience of developing your own or working with tools to build in DQ rules, DQ measurement and dashboard development. Some of these tools will be developed by you and your team; others will be strategic solutions that ensure a consistent approach and help to achieve the Group's DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model; the industry-standard, best practice framework) aims and objectives.

Personal qualities for this role include good communication skills, leadership skills, team working skills and the ability to keep the customer at the heart of everything you do and help ensure you and your team make sure "data is everyone's business."

What support will I get and how will my career grow? As a multi-brand, multi-channel business, we have the scale and breadth to provide you with a diverse range of training and development opportunities, helping you achieve a rewarding and fulfilling career. Join us and be part of an inclusive, values-based culture focused on making a difference.

You will also work in a particularly awesome area of the bank, so you'll be surrounded by passionate and progressive people who will help you develop!

Together we make it possible.
