Job DescriptionA growing start-up based in Edinburgh is looking for a Data Scientist to set up the Data Science practise and build predictive models for recommendations of resources using statistical algorithms.Role & ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with senior management to set up the Data Science practise and involved in the end-to-end process of developing predictive modelsResponsible for making new hires in the department and driving the business functions forwardWorking on product strategy and satellite imagery to build recommendation models to ecosystemsSkills & QualificationsExtensive experience in Machine Learning and a strong statistical background either commercially or in academiaKnowledge of programming such as Java, Ruby or any similar technologyCore back-end development exposure and solid knowledge of data analytics
