My client who is based in Bristol is looking for a PMO Scheduling and Planning lead for an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend.

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE

-Responsibility for Project schedules, supporting the PM in the creation, baseline of the schedule and review / updates are carried out by the PM.

-Lead the team of project Schedulers.

-Collate and report on key Customer Projects Schedule (face to face meeting with Customer at their Site).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Report to the Programme Manager for work Allocation, for work priorities, issues, reporting. How to fulfil the work through process / governance is through the Defence PMO lead.

-Support the PM with the creation of the Project schedule, providing appropriate template, knowledge and guidance how best to create and maintain each schedule. Ensure the schedule reflect a level of detail of the project tasks, follows the Customer approval steps, contain correct task tagging and meets the template requirements.

-Provide to the Customer key project schedule updates (focus being key milestones tagged within the schedule), currently weekly through face to face Meeting with Customer at their Site (Corsham location).

-Be competent and capable to present / discuss a good understanding and knowledge of the Projects schedule, both to BT and the Customer.

-Experienced in the use of MS Project (creating and modifying Schedules).

-Qualified or experience of BT programme and project management methodology.

-Government security clearance: Valid SC cleared as a minimum.

-Working location initially will be required from BT Swindon.

-Regular Customer meeting will require attendance at Customer Site (Corsham).

-Creates value and acts as a trusted advisor.

-Strong communication skills with a sound ability to negotiate internally and externally in significant client and stakeholder relationships.

-Templates to be regularly reviewed and updated.

-Ensure new PMO requests and being actions and aim to acknowledge within 24 hours of receipt.

-Take active part in Team meeting, chair / lead meeting, in the absence of the Defence PMO Lead.

Complete time bookings on time.
